Day 12

The day finally came where we bid our traveling family goodbye as they all made their way back to the states after breakfast. We decided to delay the end of our trip by staying in Bern for the day. We walked the streets under cheery sunshine. It was a holiday in the city that day so we had limited options, one of which was to visit the Kunst Museum of Bern. The art was…imaginative. More gelato filled our bellies as we finished our tour of main street Bern, and passed by the old rooster clock once more. Most eateries were closed due to the holiday, so we went to the giant train station and had some classic American McDonald’s. We had come to appreciate the ever present public transportation in all of the bigger cities as well as sensational cuisine. As the day came to a close, we made our rounds across the city to make sure every sight had been seen, every sound had been heard, and every smell inhaled. The next few days we were taking matters into our own hands, so let the adventure continue!
